Questions were not really ones I would use again for a personal Bible Study nor to lead others with it. The leader study guide in the back of book was not very helpful at all. Definitely not as good as other studies in this series

These books are great for "DIGGING" into the Bible. They provide questions on the passages so that you go "deeper" .highly recommend!

I believe the books of Timothy and Titus are a great fit for today. telling us what is expected of us --and should make us better people.

This was our workbook in our Home Group Bible Study. The questions were relevant to scripture and had applications to our daily life.

I have been watching his YouTube videos for a few years now. I am aspiring writer myself. I like the fact that he is very transparent & informative with a unique, creative cleverness. Analogies are very important and acronyms to keep a readers attention. He displays diversity in his tactics to capture your mind.I bought the book with intentions of reading it within a few days, but I felt like the joy for me was being able to read two chapters each night. This not only gives me something to look forward to, but honesty I’m diving into bed earlier thinking about my leadership abilities & not staying up with the light on my phone. It’s gave me a better nights sleep. I haven’t read a book in over a year.It’s an easy read, only complaint is that it’s not longer (but that is just a joke with more books to follow). I’m on chapter 5 and 6.The price is very reasonable, which is impressive because you would expect to pay for something of this value at least 25 dollars or more TBH.It shows that the author not only cares about teaching his audience, but reaching his audience who may have some financial troubles & not be able to afford a lot of money. Leadership isn’t about what you get back, but what you can offer to your audience.BeLiEVE ME! Invest the pennies on the dollar into your career & set aside the time for this powerful entity. You can’t soar with turkeys, so roll with the winners and get with ordering this book today

Great tool for new leaders & leaders re-inventing themselves. This was a good book for me because, as a leader, I am always looking to re-invent myself. I learned it is a challenge with the many transition to go forward with growth. Tools that help us look at the different inventories within the dynamics of leadership is an advantage. And the read broadens the perspective horizon. I am always in search of motivational savvy for my admin personnel in the spirit of maintaining our synergy. So much that we bought this good book for every team member. Great Value, Great Tool for the price! Not bad at all.

I’ve read my fair share of books on leadership and most are full of lengthy stories that fill the pages but provide very little substance. That’s the exact opposite of what you will find in The Leadership Code. I found not only a unique perspective on leadership, but most importantly I found a sense of genuineness that is missing from many so-called leaders these days. Personally, I’m far more likely to take away the principles and apply them when I feel they are forthright and rooted in honesty, as opposed to flashy nuggets that are hollow. I feel the author is sincere in his message and his intentions are to truly add value to those around him... and that’s the type of leader I most identify with. The book is packed with insight and loaded with valuable tools regardless of where you are in your leadership journey. Worth its weight in gold.

What I enjoyed about the book was that the author had given personal examples of impact. Most self help books I’ve found to have add quite a bit of fluff and what I appreciated most was the direct and to the point strategic thought processes. The author cross references key takeaways and I would say this makes for an easy read.

As an artist, I would like to commend Britton for beautifully crafting this piece. I have always believed that everyone should have leadership skills, but they were something to practice and harness. And, I honestly think that each one of us actually has a responsibility to be a leader in our daily lives. So, how do we do that? What are the steps we have to take? Britton breaks it all down in his book and provides you with simple answers and methods to be better. As you read, he gets you thinking, and as those gears are turning he is providing you with actions to take on a daily basis to lead your best life! Five Stars! Doesn't matter what your industry, title, role, rank (or whatever!) is, this book is a must-read!!!

Honestly, always considered myself a fast reader. That being said, once I dug into this book (referred to me by a co-worker), I couldn't put it down. It's on the top of my list, and should be handed out to every anyone looking to move up into management someday.

A must read for anyone looking for a different spin on how to improve your mindset. Easily relatable to anyone currently in a leadership role or anyone looking to move into that type of position. The book starts off with my personal favorite chapter, "Run Your Race". The difference between busyness and business really hit home with me. I always enjoy a book that grabs my attention from the start. I highly recommend the book!

If you are a leader, an aspiring leader, someone that is being lead, or someone that wants to understand the mindset of a leader this book is for you. Sometimes as leaders we get lost in the commotion of our day to day, this book will help you remember why you became a leader and the legacy that you want to leave behind. A great easy read for the everyday leader!

I have been following Emily's career as an illustrator, sketchnoter, and graphic recorder for a few years now and I've always been fascinated by her skills, style, positive attitude, and willingness to share what she knows about her chosen profession... and this book is just that: A collection of everything that she knows about visual note taking!She takes you by the hand and guides you through every facet of the process of making visual notes (as I assume she does in her workshops). The way that she explains and breaks down the steps and adds skills and techniques is direct and - at the same time - caring. The illustrations (I won't call them "doodles") and examples/samples are strong, straight-to-the-point, and easy enough for a beginner to copy and practice... and gain confidence as they progress. (Note: the fact that there are large spaces to practice in are a plus.)As great as this book is, there is one glaring thing missing from it: other voices in the choir.What I mean by "other voices in the choir" is that I wish that there were examples from other visual note takers and sketchnoters. While Emily's "voice" has a gorgeous tone that is well trained and resonates high above the rest, a few other "voices" or examples might add to the depth of what she is teaching and reinforce what her audience is learning.While at times the book might seem to get too elementary for someone with some knowledge of sketchnoting, I do understand that that is not her intended audience. A teachable person can learn anything from anyone, and this old dog did learn a few new tricks. (Thanks, Emily!)

Taking notes is such a critical part of the learning process. Emily's book makes it easy to get the information permanently fixated in your brain through the use of sketching. She makes it easy to start - which can be intimidating for most. She addresses the "I'm not an artist" and "I can't draw" attitudes (which I definitely relate to) and gently pushes us to just create. I'll be using these techniques when I attend conferences, seminars, lectures, but also for notes about books I'm reading. I'm certain Emily's techniques will help me become a more efficient learner!

As a graphic designer, I've dabbled in visual note taking, but see myself more as a doodler rather than a storyteller. The Art of Visual Notetaking by Emily Mills is a great beginner’s guide to sketchnoting. Emily outlines the basics of sketch notes and the importance of organizing information with both words and visual graphics.The book is very upbeat and encouraging while offering space on the page to illustrate the topics being taught. My favorite part was how Emily described "leveling up" a drawing and providing an alternate way to think about drawing characters and people (something I always struggle with).It's always challenging to try something new, but Emily's book is a step in the right direction. I feel I have some new techniques to practice and improve that will open up a new avenue in my professional life. The one thing I and many others like me need to remember, you need to practice and keep sharing your work. The only way we will get better is to keep moving forward.What a great read!

Emily Mills does an excellent job of taking someone who has little confidence in his or her ability to draw, and showing him or her the steps to observing the information in their surrounding world and translating it onto a piece of paper - in a simple, compelling, practical, and fun manner! Subtle humor and fun imagery is strewn throughout this book, making it easy to connect with the content. Emily also addresses numerous artistic stumbling blocks and teaches good techniques that build a good foundation for any person to become a better artist and communicator. I encourage every artist and visual communicator, no matter their tenure, to add The Art of Visual Notetaking to his or her toolkit - used as both a personal reference and to help others connect to the magic that is found in visual communication.

I wanted more of a brief history and cultural guide for the person who will be there for Avery short time with a full agenda.

I thought this book was going to have more anecdotes about people's stories about growing up/ living in Bangladesh and be more about the culture of the country. Not so much. Its a lot of history, which wasn't what I was looking for. I won't finish reading it.

This is a book to own and read every now and then depending on which time period one wants to focus on at the moment. Hundreds of incredible pieces make this collage a piece of art!
