I love the way the meals turn out using this cook book. Every beginning cook or person starting their own home should have this cookbook. I have had it since it came out and had to get another for my daughter. It has some of the best recipes I have ever enjoyed and gotten raves for cooking. Many years ago we decided to change things up by going oriental for Christmas dinner and this book was the source for nearly all the recipes. That was a Christmas our family will never forget and we often talk about doing it again some day. We did everything from scratch including the egg roll and won ton wrappers and it was way more labor intensive than the standard turkey and dressing. That's how memories are made though! My daughter is now getting great reviews for the very same recipes. They do not get old.
My husband loves Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Asian fusion food. I got this book because I needed to make some stir fry and other Asian food to break up our usual dinner routine. I thought I knew stir fry. I did not!!!! My stir fry has become elevated to the stars!!! Even my normally picky kids loved all the recipes we have made. The Kung bow chicken was my first recipe. It was a delight to eat. Restaurant quality!!!! Look past the dated "oriental" title and add this to your collection. You won't be sorry!!!
My wife has used this book for 30 years. Our children wanted her recipes, so when found it on Amazon we bought each of them their own books.
Grew up using this book for marinades and such. So many great ones.
Has all the elements to make this a great cookbook. I like the variety of recipes for all the categories and they are easy to follow and make. I recommand this book to those who like a variety of Asian food that is excellent.
