Really cute story about a trip on the airplane, from checkin and baggage to flight attendants on the plane, the captain speaking, working with the traffic control tower and more. Our 2 1/2 year old loves planes and loves reading this book, especially on and after his recent plane trip, where he remembers the things he did himself.If you're taking a little one on a plane, this is a great book to have.
This book helped prepare my 20 month old for her first time on a plane. A few weeks before our trip I started reading this book every day, as well as the book, Maisy Goes on a Plane, which she loves. She ended up actually really enjoying the whole plane ride experience much to my surprise, she did amazingly well on the plane.
My son’s favorite book. We got this book before a long airplane ride. This book did a great job describing what happens on airplanes. The illustrations were very engaging and entertaining. My 22 month old loved it!
My child is obsessed with planes since we live near DFW Airport and they fly over our house 100 times a day. The words roll off the tongue easily, and manage to rhyme and make sense at the same time. That may sound like a silly thing to notice but I have read quite a few terrible children's books recently. It is also fun for my daughter when we make the plane noises like "Whoosh" or my husband pretends to be the captain speaking.
I ordered it to prepare my 2y old for the upcoming long distance flight. The package arrived without damage but the book has damage at the edge.
We flew with my 3 yo son before he could read. We also purchased a 5 point harness assembly that buckled around the plane seat at the level of the tray and was heavy duty enough to put the airplane seat belt through the bottom of the harness. The harness was just like his car seat in the car, so he was very comfortable with flying since he knew he was as secure as in his car seat! The book wasn't readable for him, but the pictures and simple text were memorized by the time we leveled off and he began to "read it" himself.The great thing? He was quiet, preoccupied, and didn't wiggle out of his seat at all.
One of my kids' favorite book - especially after our recent flight)
My grandson who is 2 really likes this book. Likes to see the people on the plane, and gave him a more concrete concept that people ride airplanes and that someone "drives" the plane like a car. It's a hit!
